OUR COMPANY
HISTORY
Niagara Therapy has been developing products to help ease people’s suffering for over 50 years. In that time our products have developed from a range of hand-held units to include a range of quality, portable products, as well as a selection of fully-adjustable beds and chairs.
Our unique therapy, developed by William Wettlaufer in the 1930’s, is based on the healing qualities of massage, but our approach has a subtle difference to other solutions, and the results speak for themselves
NHC Cyclo-Therapy® uses a three-dimensional ‘cyclodial vibration’, which is much less invasive than many standard massage devices, giving a gentle and relaxing experience while stimulating blood flow, helping to relieve pain and soothe aching joints and muscles.
Half a century later, nearly all our products contain that original, unchanged therapy – and we are proud to have helped over 100,000 people feel better.
OUR BIG IDEA
NHC Cyclo-Therapy® is a brilliant concept set to change the way many symptoms and conditions are treated, and like many such ideas, it has fascinatingly simple beginnings.
In Canada’s coal-mines in the 1930’s, William Wettlaufer had invented a new machine based on a shuffling action to sift and separate various grades of coal.
The system worked well enough, but he was more interested by the number of workers who leaned or sat on the machine during breaks, because they found it such an excellent way to soothe aching backs and revive weary muscles.
Observing a rare opportunity to help people around the world, William spent considerable time and energy producing scaled-down versions of his promising machine.
OUR THERAPY
Our cycloidal therapy is safe, deep-penetrating, non-aggressive, and completely drug free. It uses a three-dimensional cycloidal vibration which is much less invasive than many standard massage devices, giving a gentle and relaxing experience while stimulating blood flow.
Cycloidal therapy, increases circulation, reduces swelling, improves mobility, reduces pain, and helps bodies to help themselves.

All of our pain relief products are handmade in the UK, by our team of expert craftsmen in Denbigh, North Wales. Our products are used by a variety of people, like you, with many different medical needs, therefore the quality of service you receive is important to us.
All our products are quality checked and adhere to the highest UK standards. We are registered with the UK Government’s Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) (Excludes Northern Ireland) and have ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 accreditation.
We actively encourage independent medical research in universities, research institutes and teaching hospitals and these studies have resulted in over 26 medical papers being written about the benefits of Niagara Therapy.
All products that include our NHC Cyclo-Therapy® massage technology are classified as Class IIa medical devices by the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority. (Excludes Northern Ireland)

We are passionate about helping those in need, especially those most vulnerable; children. Our Crown Pin Foundation was developed with the sole aim of raising money to benefit the lives of children throughout the UK.
Managed by a committed group of NHC employees, the foundation raises funds throughout the year, through various activities and involving all our employees. 100% of the money raised goes to benefit charities and organisations working with disadvantaged children.
